The Hardest sportive in the UK?... 'you judge!'
'The Long One' is no ordinary sportive; this 'Super Sportive' which is longer and hillier than normal taking place on the weekend of the longest day of the year. The 207km (129mile) sportive with 3241 meters (10,133 Ft) of climbing is not for the faint hearted.
Starting from the fascinating Open Air Museum just outside Goodwood, the course takes in some of the best and toughest climbs the North and South Downs has to offer. With 11 major climbs and 10 other significant climbs, completing this sportive could be your seasons crowning glory!
If you are looking for a shorter option, there is a 100km (64miles) route which is equally as challenging with 1639 meters (5377 ft) of climbing.
