Subscribing to RiderHQ Calendars Other guides
We publish several events calendars to which you can subscribe. Calendar programmes let you overlay events with your personal diary so you can see at a glance what your season looks like. Many will also let you sync with mobile phones and other devices so you can take our events calendar out and about with you. You can also add your friend's calendars so you can tell what events you are likely to meet up at. We publish:
- Main events calendar: See all our events
- Rider calendars of events entered: Go to someone's profile page (e.g. http://www.riderhq.com/people/nat) and you can subscribe to a calendar of all the events that rider is entered for. This can help you pick the same events as your friends (or avoid them!)
- Organiser calendars: see all the events run by a particular organiser - you can subscribe from the organiser's profile page. If you like an organiser's events avoid missing any!
Our calendars work in most popular programmes, such as Apple iCal, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Calendar and lots more. Here are some instructions to get set up:

Apple iCal (Mac OS X):
- Click on the webcal link for the calendar you wish to subscribe to.
- Choose 'refresh every day' and click 'subscribe'

Google Calendar:
- Right-click on the ical link for the calendar you wish to subscribe to, choose 'copy link' or 'copy shortcut' to copy the URL to the clipboard.
- In Google Calendar, under 'Calendars', Choose 'Add' > 'Add by URL'
- paste the URL just copied (this should look something like: http://www.riderhq.com/events.ics) into 'Public Calendar Address', and click 'Add'

Microsoft Outlook:
- For the latest versions of Outlook (e.g. Outlook 2007), click the webcal link for the calendar you wish to subscribe to.
- Outlook 2003 and earlier are not able to subscribe to calendars, so the calendar will not automatically update.
You can still import the calendar as a one-off:
- Click on the ical link for the calendar you wish to subscribe to
- Choose 'save' (not 'open with outlook' which only imports the first event!) and save the file somewhere
- In Outlook, choose File->Import choose 'iCalendar'/'vCalendar' file
- Select the file you saved in the previous step
Others:
- Right-click on the ical link for the calendar you wish to subscribe to, choose 'copy link' or 'copy shortcut' to copy the URL to the clipboard.
- Choose 'subscribe to calendar'
- Paste the URL just copied (this should look something like: http://www.riderhq.com/events.ics) into the relevant box
