Mobile friendly pages

JAN 2015

Last year 45% of our visitors were on non-desktop devices (18% tablet, 30% mobile), and that figure is rising. Consequently we optimised our entry process for mobile devices using 'responsive design'.

That is to say, we automatically detect if someone is on a smaller screen size and re-configure your entry forms and payment process to make the best use of it.

We've made lots of changes, but broadly speaking we:

  • Optimise font sizes to be readable on small screens with high resolutions
  • Remove non-essential links and images to improve loading speed and improve space-efficiency
  • Avoid zooming in and out as the entrant fills in the form to minimise vertigo ;)
