You can use our waiting list feature to offer refunded spaces to someone else automatically. Now you can offer a refund 'on condition we re-sell the space'. This allows you to give the best service to your entrants without risking loss of event revenue should you be unable to re-sell a space.

The feature is fully automatic, so all you need to do is tick a couple of boxes:

First, it's a good idea to ensure you have a waiting list set up (see below). This isn't necessary, but it gives you the best chance of re-selling the space should the event be sold out, since the system will automatically offer the to-be-refunded spot to the next person on the waiting list.



Second, under 'refund policy' enable 'entry recycling:




That's it - in the example above entrants can request an unconditional 100% refund until two weeks before the start date. Once that elapses, until a week before the startdate, they can get 50% back provided a new space is sold after they request the refund.
Of course, it's up to you what policy you set up, in terms of percentages and dates.
