 Registration will be open from 5 - 6pm on Saturday and 6:30-7:30am on race day at:

Ancholme Leisure Centre, Scawby Road, Brigg, DN20 9JH

There will be a mandatory race briefing for all competitors in transition at 8:05am

Your race number will be written on your upper arms & legs, you will also be issued with numbered stickers to be placed on cycle helmet, cycle and paddle with a further waterproof number for your kayak (please place this on the left front of your kayak).

 A secure transition will be in place at Ancholme Leisure Centre to allow you to rack early (from 0630hrs) and then make your way down to the canal opposite the Leisure Centre with your kayak, please bear in mind parking is restricted and you may wish to take your kayak down early (a marshal will be available to keep the site secure).

 Team transitions are in the transition area, simply exchange the wrist band but be aware of other competitors around you, please do not get in the way of other competitors while you wait.  

 The first wave will start at 8:30am.

 Swim 1500m

 The River Ancholme – Wetsuits are mandatory.

The swim will take place at Brigg Leisure Centre. The swim entry & exit is on the opposite side of the river to the car park, please take care on exit the bank is steep, a marshal will be there to help. The swim is downstream for 750m and then back, covering 2 legs to make a total of 1500m.

 Kayak 7K

 The route heads upstream from Brigg Leisure Centre to a turn point (marshalled) and then returns to Brigg Leisure Centre. You must use the Kayak/Canoe Access platform to get out of your Kayak and  not the fishing pegs. Life jackets are not mandatory however they are highly recommended for all competitors.


 Cycle 36K

 Ride out of the leisure centre taking great care as you turn left onto the main road out of the leisure centre, follow the signs directing you around the bike course, a marshall will be placed at the furthest location to ensure all competitors complete the full course. 

(Please shout out your race number on this left turn).

 All competitors are required to adhere to the Highway Code to ensure their own and other road user’s safety. Take extreme car at the level crossing between Brigg & Hibaldstow, if the barrier warning sounds you MUST stop and wait, a marshal will be present to make a note of any time lost, also take extra care at the right turn in Waddingham, a marshal will be present but is it your responsibility to follow the highway code. 

Marshalls are present to warn and ensure safety of all road users NOT to stop traffic.


On return into Brigg go straight past the leisure centre into Brigg, around the Tesco roundabout and return to the leisure centre, taking care & slowing down turning left into the leisure centre, continue up to the dismount line, then run to transition with your bike, rack your bike before removing your helmet.

Run 10km 

Exit the transition area and run along the riverbank and climb over the stile as directed. Turn right onto Bridge Street keeping to the right hand side footpath. Continue on the footpath for 1/3 mile until you reach the market place, keeping the bandstand on your LEFT. 


Continue on the right hand side footpath down Elwes Street out towards Cadney. Continue on   right hand side along Cadney Road which runs alongside the River Ancholme until you reach the water station turning point.


Cross over to the right hand side of road and run back towards Brigg until the small bridge where a marshal will direct you over to the left hand side of the road. At the traffic light junction of Elwes Street turn left into the market place and head back to the leisure center where you will start your 2nd lap. On completion of this 2nd lap turn right onto the banking and continue to run towards the  finish point.
