Fusion Healthy Living Centre opened its doors in September 2001, building on the work of health visitors from the former Mid-Kent Healthcare Trust to improve the health and wellbeing of local people. The healthy living centre offers various health and wellbeing services and social support for Park Wood and across Maidstone.

They also run various activities and events for all ages throughout the year, especially around national holidays and celebratory days. Events such as how to run your own business and coach trips to the coast are improving the lives and futures of the residents.

The centre also includes a friendly community café (which is run by volunteers); computers for public use and free wifi; printing, photocopying and scanning facilities; and rooms and café hire for meetings, corporate events and parties.
