Surrey’s multi-award winning half marathon returns to Woking Leisure Centre on 8 March 2020. Recognised as one of the best running events in the UK, The Mercer Surrey Half Marathon promises a fun and memorable experience for the thousands of runners who attend this annual community event - which is sponsored by by Woking-based partners: Mercer, GlucoRX, Halstead Preparatory School for Girls and Synergy Physiotherapy; along with Freedom Leisure, Fitstuff and returning Title Charity Partner Harrison’s Fund.

✓ Award-winning atmosphere
✓
Fully-closed road, picturesque routes
✓ Huge medals

Everyone is encouraged to attend and enter the 13.1 mile Half Marathon, 5km or 2km Kids run. All races follow a professionally marked and measured single loop along fully-closed roads - making them achievable and attractive for all levels of runner. The picturesque races are made all the more popular and enjoyable thanks to live performances from local bands, aid stations and communities of cheering spectators; all gathered along the routes in central Woking and out into the surrounding countryside.
The event is a popular choice amongst club runners competing for their personal best time as well as fundraisers - who contribute to the £400,000 raised for national and local charities every year. Hundreds of Surrey-based businesses will run in teams to compete for the title of “Surrey’s Fastest Business” in the Workplace Challenge.

Participants and their supporters have free access to the Event Village, which has a number of live performances taking place throughout the day; charity, retail and catering stalls, live video streaming of the race on a giant TV screen and more. Indoor massage, bag storage, toilet and changing facilities are all available inside the leisure centre. Participants will receive a huge medal, bespoke headwrap and a number of finish line treats to celebrate their achievements.
