This special Skills School is for members of the SE IRC team, for TS2 and TS3 athletes that either want to improve their skills in drafting races or want to take part in drafting races in 2020 and for Youth athletes. The session will focus on performance racing skills including drafting in the swim, working with a group on the bike and negotiating dead turns with other cyclists.

What time and how much?

08:30 - 10:15 at Leybourne Lakes

11:00 - 13:00 at Gravesend Cyclopark

How much: Cost of the session is £17.

What are Skills School Days?
Skills School days are a great opportunity for young triathletes to develop their triathlon skills in a fun and engaging environment.  Each day will be led by your regional Skills School Lead Coach and supported by qualified British Triathlon Coaches.

The day’s activities will be built upon our world class Skills Development framework and will vary from day to day.
 
Who is it for? 

This special Skills School is for members of the SE IRC team, for TS2 and TS3 athletes that either want to improve their skills in drafting races or want to take part in drafting races in 2020 and for Youth athletes.

It’s also a great day for coaches to develop their knowledge working with junior athletes. Up to 6-8 club coaches can attend the day. The coaches will have the opportunity to develop their coaching skills in line with the Skills School ethos with problem based learning through game based sessions.

Skills School is a new British Triathlon initiative based around athletes exploring through play and developing their skills through creative and innovative sessions. The athletes will be encouraged to develop their technical, tactical and mental skills during the sessions.
 
How do we get involved?
A parent or guardian can sign up participants via Rider HQ online booking system.Please provide the parent/guardians contact details.
Please note you will need to do a separate booking for each participant you would like to sign up.


Once you have signed up you will receive an email from the Skills School Lead Coach no earlier than TWO WEEKS prior to the Skills School day. This will contain all the information you will need regarding the day.
