6 and a half miles on country lanes, footpaths and woodland tracks around East Malling and Barming

Run under UK Athletics Rules, License applied for.

Please note: The entry fees have been reviewed and reduced since the race first opened. All entrants who entered on or before 8th August at 6pm have been contacted and refunded the difference.


Race Numbers and Timing chips to be collected on the day from Race HQ

Race Numbers

Your race numbers will be available for collection at the Race HQ on race day.

(Please note that you will be allocated your Race Number on the day allowing collection by Surname order.)


Please make sure you allow plenty of time to collect your race number.

Please take care of your race number and wear it on the front of your vest so that it is clearly visible to the finishing line officials.



The race HQ is East Malling Research, Kiln Barn Road, Ditton. ME20 6AP.


How to get there

East Malling Research is situated in Kiln Barn Road, which is approximately 4 miles west of Maidstone. From junction 5 of the M20 (Coldharbour Roundabout) take the A20 towards West Malling at the 3rd set of traffic light's turn left into New Road. Carry on past Ditton Community Centre, East Malling Research is on the right approximately ½ a mile further along the road.  



There is ample parking at East Malling Research, please follow the directions of our car park marshals.


Unfortunately there are no showers or changing facilities at this venue an area to store baggage will be available.


Medical Support

Phoenix Medical will be providing Medical support on the day. Please make a note of any health problems you may have and medication you’re taking on the reverse of your race number. If you suffer from any medical conditions that the Medical Team should be aware of please mark a large X on the front of your race number and ensure that the details are on the reverse.

The Start

The race will start promptly at 11:00 am. All runners should make their way to the start line by 10:50am to receive your final instructions. 
The Course

The course is mostly off road with only a few small stretches on country roads.  Conditions underfoot can be very wet and muddy in the woods so please wear appropriate footwear.  Water is provided on the course at approximately 3 & 6 miles and at the finish.



When you cross the finish line please ensure that you remain in the correct order and ensure that your race number is clearly visible. Once you are in the finish funnel please keep moving and please do not re cross the finish line as this can lead to confusion and delay in producing accurate results. All finishers will receive a Technical Tee shirt and a medal at the end of the finish funnel with the traditional Xmas Pudding waiting. 



The following prizes will be awarded on the day, with one individual award per person;

1st 2nd 3rd Female + Vet35, 45 & 55

1st Club Team (5 to score – minimum 1 Female)

Hot drinks and food will be served in the Race HQ canteen for runners / friends / supporters during the event.
