<p>The Lutterworth Charity 5 was first launched in 2013 by Alan Slater, a local runner from Lutterworth, to raise money for dementia charities after his father lost a three year battle with the illness. Race Harborough is delighted to be working with Alan to ensure the continued success of the event. All profit from the event goes to dementia related charities.</p> <p>There are a few important points to bear in mind. Due to licence restrictions the minimum age of participants is 15. There is also a limit of 400 participants and these are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Sorry, but for this event, no dogs are allowed to take part.</p> <p>The course is set on country roads in the rural area of Ullesthorpe and Bitteswell and is a measured 5 miles with a few small undulations. It is a fast course and with PB potential. This event is recognised by UK Athletics (2015-12265).</p> <p>Registration is open from 8.30am where you will collect your race number/timing chip. We will provide you with safety pins. The race starts at 10.00am prompt. There will refreshments available to purchase from the venue including a yummy cake stall!</p> <p>If you wish to RACE FOR FREE, please get in touch. You just need to pledge to raise at least £50 for a deentia related charity.</p> <p>Medal for all finishers. Trophies for top 3 males/females and AG winners.</p> <p>For the first time this year there is also a special award for the club with the most representatives.</p> <p>There are a number of discounts avaialble for early entries and clubs.</p> <p>Initially there will be a special 20% off for the first 50 entries (use code LW20) and 10% off for the next 50 (code to follow). Local clubs will receive a 15% discount if 10 or more members enter. Please contact us to receive the club discount code.
