A fast opening lap saw a break of 7 establish themselves, the break soon had over a minute's lead.

Alex Dowsett, Alex Wise and Jason White bridged across to the break from the bunch, making a group of 10 riders which maintained a lead on the bunch that was three minutes by the final lap.

Up Batts Hill Alex Dowsett and Angus MacAlister crossed together; the bunch was led in by Ian Taylor.
