1st of a series of four Mountainbike Races under British Cycling rules. Race for fun, Race your friends, or Race to win! Register in the Fowlmead Visitor Centre from 10am, collect your race number and transponder and practise from 11am (after the children’s U12 race which starts at 10:30am). Main adult race at 12noon. Overall series prizes (best 3 races of the 4 to count). Pre-entry prices are £8 for over 18s and £4 for any rider of 17 years and under. Pre-entry via www.riderhq.com will close at 18:00 on Saturday 31/10/09. Entry on the day will be £10 for adults and £5 for any rider of 17 years and under. Plenty of car parking - please remember to pay your £1.00 for all-day parking. |

Fast all-weather surface predominantly on shale (from the park's previous life as the spoil tip of Betteshanger Colliery). Testing and fun course with generally wide, but twisting and turning paths through the wooded sections, interspersed with open grassy sections. |
