about Corsa Rosa TT League

corsaRosa is a competitive time trial league organised by Leeds-based albaRosa Cycling Club and involving 5 local clubs:

• albaRosa CC

• Ilkley CC

• Otley CC

• East Bradford CC

• Yorkshire Road Club

The league is distinctive in that riders must use what we are loosely calling "standard road bikes". A full specification of the kit regulations is set out in the league handbook, but the idea is that all riders will compete on the same sort of bike that club riders, road and crit racers typically use, i.e. not dedicated TT bikes.

The league is intended to encourage greater participation in the Time Trialling discipline, in particular from road and crit racers and from women and youth riders. It is not a traditional or retro league (we expect to see very bling modern summer bikes!) but it is traditional in the sense that it looks back to a period when competitive amateur cyclists would compete across all road disciplines: crits, road races, time trials and hill climbs.

corsaRosa is a brand new league, running for the first time in 2016, but we want it to grow and become a major fixture on the local TT scene, acting as a focus to build relationships between local clubs in a competitive and friendly environment.
